Aboriginal Spirituality
Aboriginal spirituality is basically a religion, it is all of their beliefs of how things came to be. The "Dreaming" is creational stories, and means "our identity as people, it was a complex network."
The Europeans tried to force different christian beliefs into them, however the Aboriginal people stuck with their own, but was influenced by colonialism. Although the have completely different beliefs to christians both believe there is an great evil and great good spirit.
Most of the dreaming comes from the land as they see it as their mother. The land supplies them with them with essentials, like food, water, shelter etc, without the land their culture would be completely different. The Aboriginal people have a very strong connection to the land and sea.
The Dreaming sets out structures of society and behaviour. It is a way of life for the Aboriginal people.
